Emily Brooker Photography- Portraits- Chism Beach Park, Bellevue

Emily Brooker Photography- Portraits- Chism Beach Park, Bellevue

I have been vamping up my website and in doing so realized I needed some head shots. It was really overcast and the water was so calm. No one was at the park except me and it was great opportunity to get some shots!

Kid's Birthday Party- Event Photography- Photo Booth Services- Bellevue, Washington

I had the pleasure of photographing Ava's 8th birthday party. It was a full blown affair with crown decorating, finger sandwiches, a table set for everyone's American Girl doll and even a dance party in the front yard. The girls had an amazing time playing all the fun games and even managed some pretty fabulous poses for the photo booth I had set up!

Best Birthday Wishes to Ava!

Sean & Paula - Cancun, Mexico - Wedding Photography

I want to take the time to wish my brother and my now lovely sister in law a
Happy 1st Anniversary!
I had the pleasure of photographing Sean and Paula's wedding- as well as being the best woman!
Though I lived in Bellevue at the time, we traveled with our two children to Cancun, Mexico for their awesome destination wedding.
It was a week of family and friends and you could definitely feel the love in the air.
Their wedding was a simple yet intimate ceremony on the beach with beautiful flowers and an even more beautiful bride. I cried like a baby while my big brother said his vows yet couldn't be happier.
So cheers to the happy couple as they celebrate their first anniversary!
Lots of Love,
Emily

Shea - Jefferson Park, Seattle - Children's Photography Session

Shea.. there is so much I can say about this girl.
She is wild, full of energy and had no problem bringing out her true personality during her short 15 minute photo session.
If i had to describe Shea in one catch phrase it would be:
"I am woman... hear me ROAR!"
And that is exactly what she did!
Shea is a free spirit and it was great to be able to capture that in the short time I was with her!

Ben, Leta & Max - Jefferson Park, Seattle - Family Photography Session

Now that I have braved some very scary price tags with starting my business, I am beginning to approach more families with children to have their photos taken.
This is where Ben, Leta and Max come into the picture.
{ pun intended }
Ben and Leta were playing with their 22 month old son nearby when I approached them asking if they could use some family photos. They were great to work with and even though Ben said they would need directing the best photos I took were candid. Being able to photography families while they play with their children or take a walk allows me the opportunity to capture what they are really like.
Seeing Max's expression while his mother put on his hat or catching a glimpse of Max sucking his thumb while riding on his dad's shoulders... those moments are the ones that should be remembered.
It is scary at first to approach strangers to see if they want their photos taken- it has the potential to make you look like a creeper- but when you meet great people with an adorable kid, it makes it all worthwhile!

Austin - Robinswood Park, Bellevue - Children's Photography

I would like to think that I am OK with kids considering I am an ex-teacher and mother of three but Austin gave me a run for my money. Every time I pointed the camera at him, he ran the other way.
I was getting a really good cardio exercise in while I got some great shots of this little guy.
{ Notice how his biggest smile is of him trying to run away from me? }

Regardless of how quick Austin was I had a fun time trying to keep up with this little trickster.
